Once your video has been uploaded to the My Content section of your Echo360 library, you can make a link to the video, which you can then use to add a link to your unit or embed the video in a player in your LEO unit.

How to make a link to a video in your Echo360 library

  1. Log into echo360.org.au

  2. Find the video you want, roll over the preview image of your file, and click the blue square icon in the bottom right hand side of the image.
Note: you can use the Search or Filter functions on this page to find the video you're looking for.

  3. For the video you wish to use, click the Share button:
    The Share button for videos
  4. The Share Settings options panel will appear. To make a link that you can use in your LEO unit, click on the Links tab, then click the Add Link button. This will create a new unique link to this video:
Creating a Share link in the options panel
  5. To copy the direct web link of the video, click the Copy button. To copy the embed code, click the Embed button.
Note: the Public Access button. If you do not want your video visible to anyone outside ACU, click this button to make the video not public access (meaning it will require users to log into ACU's Echo360 to view the video).

How to add web links and embed videos in LEO

Now that you have your link, you can put them in your LEO unit.

To add a web link, you can use the web link you copied to:

To embed the video in the Text Editor in LEO:

  • Use the Embed button above and copy the embed code, then
  • Follow this embed video guide from step 4, using this embed code in place of the YouTube embed code

How to make your video available to your course

  1. To make a video accessible to a Class in your Echo360 course instead (if you have one), click on the Class button and select your course, term and section from the drop‐down options:
    Sharing with a Class
You can choose from an existing Class, or create a New Class and give your file a name in the Class Name text box.

  2. Click the Share button to save. Your students will then see the file in their recordings list in Echo360.
