Congratulations to Laura Rademake on receiving a J.G. Crawford award from the Australian National University for “Academic Excellence in the Field of Doctoral Studies”. It was awarded on 17 December 2015.
The research was titled: “Language and Mission: Talking and Translating on Groote Eylandt, 1943-1973” being concerned with cross-cultural interactions and engagement at the Anglican mission to Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory.
Dr Rademake is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Golding Centre, at the Institute for Religion and Critical Inquiry. She has a central role in the Centre's major research project: Towards a new theology of woman: From 'The evolution of women and their possibilities' (1904) to Woman and Man, One in Christ Jesus (1999).
