Melbourne loves the Spring Racing Carnival but all those nibbles and drinks need to be balanced out with some exercise! From November 2 to 6 (not including Cup Day) the Melbourne Studio Gym at St Patrick's campus is throwing the doors open to all staff.
Take a break from your desk and get a workout in or sneak in a quick session before heading home! The gym opening hours are Monday to Thursday: 11am - 7pm and Friday: 10am - 5pm.
Need a session with a Personal Trainer?
Personal training sessions now available at the gym, book now to tailor a program to meet your needs. Training sessions are held one-on-one with a qualified and experienced trainer who has completed an exercise or sports science degree. The trainer will write an individual program according to your goals, which might include weight loss, increased strength and lean muscle mass, improved aerobic fitness, or you may just need help staying accountable to your health and fitness program.
The cost of sessions are:
$60 for 60 minutes
$50 for 45 minutes
$40 for 30 minutes
You can purchase sessions as an initial one-off session, book a block of 5 or book a block of 10 and receive one for free!
Staff also have the opportunity to participate in the Melbourne Gym Studio yoga classes.
This is the first time the gym is offering yoga classes outside of semester, so get involved! The gym will be running a four-week block of yoga starting Monday 9 November at 4.30pm.
