ACU is hosting a program of six courses in eResearch tools at North Sydney and Strathfield campuses from this Thursday. Come and learn how to work more efficiently with Excel, and to take advantage of regular expressions and the Unix command line.
Are you a modern researcher but don’t know the first thing about computer science, or programmatic data analysis? Do you have messy spreadsheet data that needs to be cleaned before being analysed? eResearch is fast becoming the norm as the research sector is quickly moving towards digital methodologies. Knowing how to take advantage of eResearch can significantly improve the speed and efficiency of analysis.
Intersect Australia is a non-profit eResearch organisation that provides its members with a range of free or subsidised eResearch products and services, including training in data analysis and software. Courses include Excel, Regular Expressions, Open Refine and the Command Line, and researchers from all disciplines will benefit from this training.
ACU is hosting six training courses for researchers, including HDR students, this week and next at North Sydney and Strathfield. These courses are free to attend and are suitable for researchers looking to improve the efficiency of their work by utilising software for data analysis, visualisation, and automation. Registration is specific to each course, meaning places are limited and registration is essential.
