Learn how to keep track of your research with ORCID.
Your ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor Identification) is a unique identifier which allows you to keep track of your research. It helps people to identify you as the correct author/researcher for your research outputs and is also a way for you to connect with other researchers worldwide.
Having an ORCID iD is now a requirement when submitting a grant submission to the ARC and NHMRC. Publishers such as PLoS are also requiring an ORCID iD upon submission of an article for publication.
If you’re a researcher, we in the Library can assist you with any questions you have on how to create your ORCID iD and how to populate your ORCID record with your research outputs. Our Library Academic and Research Services staff on each campus can provide assistance and answer any questions you may have about ORCID.
We will be running a series of drop in sessions and events encouraging you to sign up or to help your colleagues in connecting their ORCID iD to their research. We celebrate ORCID Week from the 20-24 November.
