The Biostatistics unit in the Institute for Health and Ageing, are again delivering a two-day workshop, on 25 and 26 May, on using Mplus for structural equation modelling (SEM).
Following last November’s highly popular offering, the bio-stats team from IHA have decided to deliver the workshop again on Tuesday 25 July and Wednesday 26 July at the IHA research offices, Level 6, Spring Street Melbourne.
The two-day workshop will provide an overview of the fundamental concepts of SEM, focusing on the practical aspects of implementing SEM in Mplus software. The general objective of the workshop is for participants to develop working knowledge of judicious applications of SEM methods in research.
The workshop is suitable for people without previous experience in SEM, and is not mathematical, however prior working knowledge of linear regression and exploratory factor analyses is essential.
Participants should be prepared to bring laptops with Mplus and either Stata or SPSS installed. A demo version of Mplus can be downloaded here: www.statmodel.com
You can see the IHA events page for further information about the workshop schedule.
When: Tuesday 25 to Wednesday 26 July, 2017 from 9am to 4.30pm
