New and improved information on the admissions process for prospective students has been published on the ACU website this month. Improvements have been made to increase the transparency of the admissions process and help prospective students as they navigate their way to obtaining a place at University.
Staff are encouraged view the new information and share any feedback during a review period, which will end on 30 September. The feedback will be used to refine the content and resolve any issues that arise. Please view thewebsiteand send your feedback to Ann Emms, Project Manager, Admissions Transparency Project on Ann.Emms@acu.edu.au
The changes include the new information and definitions recommended by the Higher Education Standards Panel (HESP) report, which aims to improve access to clear and readily comparable information on admission requirements and processes across the sector. The two key requirements were to provide whole-of-institution information as well as information of the 2017 cohort for each individual course.
“We look forward to hearing any feedback from staff across ACU as we work to ensure that students have a good experience and clear information as they undertake the admissions process,” Academic Registrar Kathryn Blyth said.
“The Admissions Transparency Project Team have done an amazing job and I thank them for their tireless efforts to achieve this outcome in a very short timeframe. The team were made up of staff from MER, Student Administration, OPSM and the Office of the Provost.”
