The main round of scholarships and bursaries is closing on Sunday 8 March 2015. Here are just five things you can do to remind your students about the opportunities available.
Despite more than 70 opportunities for new and continuing students to apply for under ACU’s scholarships and bursaries program, low numbers of applicants suggest students may not be fully aware of the opportunities available to them.
What can you do to ensure eligible students are given the opportunity for this financial assistance? We’ve developed a list of just five things you can do to help spread the word:
Email your students directly.
Make an announcement during a lecture.
Promote the scholarships and bursaries to course coordinators.
Include scholarship and bursary details on LEO.
Verbally encourage students to apply or to finish incomplete applications.
To assist you with targeting your message, the following list highlights some of the scholarships and bursaries still seeking applications (click on the opportunity for more information):
Undergraduate (first year of studies) Ballarat Campus Rural / regional
We encourage students to apply for as many scholarships and bursaries that they are eligible for. With your assistance promoting the program, we hope to provide financial support for deserving students across all of ACU’s campuses. Students have a good chance of receiving the financial assistance if they fit the criteria and apply.
