ACU invites faculty and student
services staff to discover how to utilise Student Experience Data, via
videoconference from 2pm Wednesday, 10 December 2014
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students, Learning and Teaching) and Director of Planning and Strategic Management gave a joint presentation on Student Experience Data at the May 2014 meeting of the Academic Board. The presentation provided a high-level summary of complex data and the Board agreed that a separate workshop be scheduled to assist in reading and interpreting the information.
We would like to invite participants to attend this subsequent 2014 Student Experience Information Workshop that will be co-facilitated by the Students, Learning and Teaching (SLT) Portfolio and the Office of Planning and Strategic Management (OPSM) Directorate on Wednesday 10 December 2014 between 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm.
What is being presented?
The session will focus on how data is used to measure, evaluate and improve the student experience at ACU. This includes performance indicators such as retention, attrition and success as well as survey results such as the Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ), University Experience Survey (UES) and Student Evaluation of Unit/Teaching (SEU/T). A range of portfolio areas will discuss how the evidence is used to inform decisions and develop strategies.
The session will explain how student experience data is used for quality control, assurance and management as part of a continual improvement cycle.An objective of the session is for staff attending to understand how the University 'closes the loop' and to enable them to explore the data for quality management purposes.

The workshop will be held via videoconference to all campuses on Wednesday 10 December 2014 between 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm (EDST).
