The 2015 Student Experience Survey (SES) is well underway. It closes on Monday 31 August. Please continue to encourage students targeted in the sample to complete the survey.
Reminders continue to be sent to them by email, through LEO on the weekend of 23 and 24 August, and ACU's Facebook page and screensavers around campuses also promote the SES. A sample of first year and final year students are in the targeted group.
In 2014 ACU had the lowest response rate of all universities at 20%. We are aiming to increase that dramatically for 2015. Fortunately, thanks to the effort of many of you, we are already ahead of that result, but need to push it higher.
The survey aims to provide reliable, valid and generalizable information to the Australian Government and to universities and non-university higher education institutions about the student experience.
The Social Research Centre administers the SES. ACU highly values the information provided by the survey about the students' experience, about their levels of engagement and satisfaction. This information informs future improvements in learning and teaching at ACU and in co-curricular experiences offered.
