Staff who may need assistance to meet financial obligations during the pay date change in November are reminded to apply for assistance before 12noon tomorrow, Friday 10 October.
To assist staff to meet their financial obligations during the pay date change the University has made the following measures available:
Annual leave loading: for all staff entitled to it, annual leave loading is automatically paid early, on 5 November 2014 rather than in December as normally occurs. No application is required.
Cash out of annual leave and long service leave: to do this, you need to be eligible. Forms to apply to cash out leave are available on the Pay Date Change webpage. Your form must be lodged by 12noon on 10 October 2014 for the payment to be made on 5 November 2014. Refer to Section 3 of the FAQs for further information.
Confidential helpline: If you are concerned about your ability to meet your financial obligations as a result of the pay date change, you can obtain a loan application form by calling the Confidential Hotline on extension 4222. Your loan application must be lodged by 12noon on 10 October 2014 for the loan payment to be made on 5 November 2014.
