Explore the most important topics of Christian faith during the season of Lent at ACU's Melbourne Campus through the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy's short course, Jesus' Passion, Death and Resurrection.
The Faculty of Theology and Philosophy’s short course, Jesus’ Passion, Death and Resurrection, is an opportunity to explore the most important topics of Christian faith during the season of Lent. The course will be held at ACU's Melbourne Campus and will consider:
What is the meaning of the Last Supper?
Why did Jesus suffer and die?
How does Jesus' death save us from our sins?
What happened to Jesus immediately after His death?
What does the Resurrection actually mean?
The course will follow the events of the Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday) as they are reflected in the Apostles' Creed, that Jesus "suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead."
Step inside the world of early Christianity with experts from the School of Theology at ACU.
