Record numbers of visitors attended Open Day on ACU’s Brisbane Campus making the all-day event an outstanding success.
Thanks to an extensive marketing campaign in the lead-up to the event a total of 1726 visitors attended the campus representing 33 per cent growth compared to last year.
Marketing and External Relations Director Andrea Turley said the day ran exceptionally well because of fantastic planning and the execution of great ideas by a committed ACU team.
“It requires University wide involvement to deliver such a great day and we appreciate everyone’s participation in the lead-up to and on the day,” Ms Turley said.
“The great attendance was the result of great promotion in the lead-up and once people arrived there was genuine engagement with staff and students.
“We had a true ACU look and feel, a consistent message and great engagement with the app, digital activation and social media.
“The faculty stands and the booths looked amazing and we received great feedback about the presentations.
“The Brisbane event was an outstanding start to Open Day season and will generate momentum as we roll out more activities across all campuses.”
Associate Vice-Chancellor (Brisbane) Professor Jim Nyland said the campus looked splendid on the day due to a lot of work behind the scenes from the Campus Properties team as well as the Marketing and External Relations team.
“Academic and professional staff attendance at such an event is crucial to its success as our ACU’s student ambassadors and volunteers so I thank each and every one of you for the efforts put in on Saturday in showcasing this great campus,” Professor Nyland said.
