With the introduction of Workplace across the University complete, the Internal Communications team is now reviewing our other communication channels to ensure they are also used to best effect.
Part of this review has resulted in the reduction of the Staff Bulletin from two editions each week (Tuesday and Thursday) to one edition per week (Wednesday).
Since we began progressively rolling out Workplace across the University in March last year, we have seen a reduction in the number of contributions to the Staff Bulletin.
We’ve also seen a decline in the average unique opens and unique click-throughs for Staff Bulletin articles.
Staff have also been regularly contributing to our Workplace community, with more than 10,500 posts, 13,000 comments and 70,000 reactions shared so far.
Importantly, Workplace allows you to share your news with the audience you’re looking to reach, whether that be campus-based or a division of the University, and communicate in an engaging way through text, images and video.
All staff are encouraged to access Workplace, where you can join a range of different groups, receive important news and information from across the University, join conversations and collaborate with colleagues.
The change to the Staff Bulletin schedule will take effect from Wednesday 9 May. Staff will be advised if there are any changes to this timing
Please consider the upcoming change to the Staff Bulletin as you plan any staff communications.
The deadline for Staff Bulletin content will remain the same - 12pm the day before publication.
Therefore, all bulletin content will need to be approved by the relevant Director/Executive Dean (or their delegate) and submitted by midday on Tuesday each week to be included in that week’s edition.
Articles can be submitted via the Staff Newsroom Builder. Please email any accompanying images or instructions to email@example.com
