Service Central has been introduced this month, starting with Properties & Facilities and Human Resources, followed by other services progressively rolled-out until May 2019. Service Central intends to improve the way that staff receive the services provided by Corporate Services.
The image right shows all other services which will be made available by May 2019: IT, Finance, Marketing and External Relations, General Counsel, Governance, Planning and Strategic Management and Student Administration.
The University already has the AskACU service to help with queries from students or about student-related services. Now, Service Central is being established to also help staff with their service requests and queries.
How will Service Central help me?
Service Central aims to provide staff with easy and effective access to all the services provided by Corporate Services, from one location. It will allow staff to make service requests via multiple channels including an online portal or via phone. Staff will be able to track the progress of their service requests via the Service Central portal at any time and from anywhere. The portal will also include a searchable knowledgebase to help you find the information you need about services for staff. See how to search the portal.
What will be different?
All the information about HR and Properties & Facilities services will be available in one location, via the Service Central portal. The portal is also the one place for staff to go to access and request these services.
All service numbers will be consolidated into one phone number - ext 7272 - for assistance from Service Central, which was previously the ServiceDesk phone number. This means you will no longer need to call x4222 to seek HR advice or x8333 to seek help from Properties & Facilities. These phone numbers will be directed to x7222 where Service Central will help with your query or connect you to the right specialist for the service you need.
How to access Service Central
Visit the Service Central portal at staff.acu.edu.au/servicecentral or call (07) 3623 7272. and the Service Central team will be able to help you or connect you to the relevant person to assist with your service need. The Service Central phone line will operate between the hours of 7:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday (Melbourne time) and only close on National Public Holidays.
