IT is streamlining ACU’s meeting tools to a single platform - Skype for Business - to provide a seamless video, instant messaging and teleconferencing experience.
Skype for Business will become ACU’s preferred meeting tool, as it provides interconnectivity between desktop devices, mobile and Microsoft Office 365 collaborative tools.
Polycom Realpresence and Cisco Meeting Place client will be phased out eventually.
Skype for Business offers many benefits:
flexibility to communicate and join a meeting from any device, anytime and anywhere
meetings can easily be conducted from remote and dispersed locations for both internal and external users
improved meeting experiences
saves you time—you can quickly connect to your colleagues and share content, no time wasted trying to connect to colleagues through clunky, disparate communications systems
reduced travel costs
We are holding interactive webinar sessions delivered using Skype for Business. This is a highly visual meeting and we will show you how to use Skype for Business. You have an opportunity to ask questions.
After you register, we will send you an Outlook meeting invitation. This will include a link to join the Skype for Business information session. All you need to do is click on the ‘Join Skype Meeting’ link in your meeting invitation. It’s very to use.
We recommend you use a headset plugged into your PC to listen to the meeting for better sound quality.
