A message from the Vice President, Father Anthony Casamento.
Last week I was delighted to launch our new Workplace group where we can share and celebrate stories of staff living the ACU Mission.
The name of this new group is “Mission Alive” which was decided upon by staff who took part in our online survey to name the group. I think that this name “Mission Alive” perfectly captures what we want to achieve with this new group.
Every day each of us lives the mission in some way, whether by helping our students or colleagues, serving the local community or taking a new approach to exploring higher education through the lens of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition.
This new Workplace group will be your space to share inspiring examples of living the Mission in both large and small ways to show the importance and value of the Mission at ACU.
My goal is that all of our staff will become involved and post their own stories and experiences of living the Mission in this group. Through this, I hope that we can gain a deeper understanding of the Mission of ACU as a Catholic university.
The new group will also provide a platform for all staff to ask any questions about how to live the ACU Mission, particularly during challenging times.
To launch this new group, on Wednesday 30 May, I will be holding a live video chat in the Mission Alive group at 12noon to talk about the Mission. Please join me and bring along any questions you may have about the Mission at ACU.
I look forward to reading your posts and answering your questions in my first live chat! And don’t forget to start posting your stories in Mission Alive!
