Ten international student ambassadors recently visited the Australian Catholic University’s (ACU) Brisbane Campus to spend a day touring the grounds and participating in activities.

The visit was part of the Brisbane International Student Ambassadors Program, which is an innovative marketing and social networking initiative to spread the positive image and social inclusion of international students in Brisbane.

Sue Woods, International Programs Manager, says the day was enjoyed by the Ambassadors.

“The ambassadors had an informative and fun visit, with a tour of the new Biometrics Laboratory, an introduction to SimMan and lots of experiential learning,” says Sue.

“The highlight of the day was a visit to CIER and Weemala, and a traditional Torres Strait Kap Mauri lunch.”

The selected ambassadors are drawn from a group of international students currently enrolled in Study Brisbane’s 26 member institutions, which includes ACU.

The ambassadors work closely with the Study Brisbane team to communicate on a student-to-student level through their personal networks, the Study Brisbane social networking sites, and other channels to discuss overseas study destinations.
