ACU signs agreement with leading US uni

ACU has expanded its international network to Chicago, signing an agreement with DePaul University - the largest Catholic university in the United States.

The agreement will facilitate collaboration between DePaul and ACU across the areas of research and teaching, staff and student exchange, and community engagement. It formalises the relationship between the two universities, which has developed over the past two years.

Professor Greg Craven, Vice-Chancellor at ACU, met with DePaul President Rev. Dennis Holtschneider on his recent visit to the United States.

“I am delighted to have formalised this relationship between our two universities,” Professor Craven said.  “DePaul is a leading Catholic institution and it is wonderful to have a partnership that complements our relationships with other significant US universities.

“Chicago is an important cultural, intellectual and business centre and this agreement is the first step to ACU developing an active engagement in the region.”

With more than 25,000 students, DePaul is the largest Catholic university in the United States.  The University has two campuses in Chicago, which offer programs across a range of areas including education, law, business, music, media and communication, and liberal arts.
