A wide variety of training tools have been developed not only for learners who undertake Student Systems webinars; they are useful as a reference for day to day access to all users.

Staff are encouraged to browse the categories below for training tools, quick reference guides, demonstrations and current training opportunities.

The Banner Student Information System manages the administrative lifecycle of our students; from application, enrolment and fees to course completion, graduation, and everything in-between.
Approved general and academic staff are provided with access to Banner; this access is grouped in user classes based on a staff member’s role. Students are not provided with access to Banner.

Banner Training

Banner Document Management system (BDM) has replaced ZyLAB for the management and archiving of student documents. All ZyLAB documents have been transferred to BDM.

BDM allows both scanned and electronic documents to be archived and indexed for easy retrieval. It is fully integrated with Banner, allowing both the archiving and retrieval of documents from within Banner, and compared to ZyLAB, has improved options for directly archiving electronic documents without needing to print and scan them, saving both time and trees.

The Scheduling and Reporting System (SARS) is a multi user scheduling system used by the Office of Student Success (OSS) in automating their client booking system.

The student information within SARS is sourced directly from Banner.

Student Connect is a self-service, web based student administration system. Student Connect (Faculty Services) allows staff access to student data and utilise the features to complete administrative functions.

For commencing and continuing students; Student Connect allows students to; accept their offer; manage their enrolment, fees; view results; apply to transfer courses; and apply to graduate.
