A message from Executive Dean Faculty of Education and Arts Professor Mary Ryan.
The Faculty of Education and Arts is excited to announce the launch of Synergy, an innovative platform designed to foster collaborations between academia and industry. The inaugural Synergy Sydney 2024 event will be held on 26 September at Tennison Woods House, marking the beginning of an annual series dedicated to driving impactful research and addressing real-world challenges.
Synergy embodies the faculty’s commitment to creating a positive impact on society through research excellence. By bringing together leading academics, industry partners, and community stakeholders, the event aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge leading to groundbreaking research collaborations and thought leadership.
The event will showcase the research strengths of ACU's Faculty of Education & Arts, with the inaugural event focus on the Institute for Positive Psychology and Education. Attendees can expect thought-provoking keynote presentations from renowned academics, including Professor Rhonda Craven, Associate Professor Theresa Dicke, and Dr Taren Sanders.
A key highlight of Synergy Sydney 2024 will be a dedicated networking session, providing opportunities for researchers and industry representatives to connect, share ideas, and explore potential collaborations. The event will also feature research project presentations and facilitated discussions to stimulate innovation and problem-solving.
ACU’s strong research reputation, as evidenced by its top rankings in education and humanities, makes it an ideal partner for organisations seeking to drive research-led initiatives. By collaborating with us, industry partners can gain access to cutting-edge knowledge, expertise, and a proven track record of delivering impactful outcomes.
Synergy Sydney 2024 is the first in a series of events that will be held annually across ACU campuses. The initiative is driven by the faculty’s vision of building strong research partnerships to create a lasting legacy of positive change.
"Synergy Sydney 2024 is a platform for transformative collaboration, where FEA academics based in New South Wales will connect with industry partners and end-users to drive meaningful research collaborations," Associate Dean of Research Clarence Ng said.
"Working together with our partners, we aim to solve real-world problems and drive social impact, all while advancing our university’s vision of thriving communities and flourishing lives.”
