Introduction

The purpose of the NSMF is to:

  • Align activities across Directorates with the Portfolio’s priorities, and focus on projects, activities and/or priorities identified by the Portfolio Executive Committee;
  • Build relationships and facilitate greater collaboration and collegiality within the Portfolio;
  • Identify national trends, themes and operational issues;
  • Identify impacts of national activities on other Portfolio areas;
  • Respond to service issues arising from Portfolio feedback mechanisms (e.g. Portfolio Campus Conversations, myVoice Survey), in collaboration with Service Leads;
  • Champion Corporate Services activities, and role model Portfolio values and behaviours;
  • Provide a professional development opportunity for staff in leadership roles; and
  • Increase the awareness of the breadth and depth of Portfolio activities.

The outcomes of the NSMF will be reported back to PEC and PLF for consideration.
