Local Induction

Ongoing conversations with your supervisor are crucial to supporting your induction.

These conversations help to clarify the expectations of your role, including how to navigate the ACU environment to access the resources you need and to identify any further training needs that you may have. Regular catch ups with your supervisor provide the opportunity to discuss progress and provide feedback.

On commencement, your supervisor will organise a time to meet to discuss your role and to answer any questions you have.

New Teacher Induction

Academic staff can also tap into the New Teacher Induction resource. This online module provides Faculty specific information and covers a range of other topics such as student communication guidelines, student support and handy faculty based timetable and SharePoint links. This module is designed to help guide teachers in their new roles and can be returned to at any time.
