Access hours

Ballarat Campus usually operates between the hours of 8:00am - 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Access outside of these hours can be arranged through the Campus Manager.

Café and catering

The Ballarat café is located in the Forbes Student Centre (Building 106). It is open daily during semester serving a wide variety of snacks, meals, and drinks. In the semester breaks it has reduced hours, please contact the cafe for further information.

Campus catering can be organised through the café; please email to discuss your catering needs.

Nursing mothers and parenting room

Aquinas is a parent friendly campus. A room is available on campus for staff and students who need privacy with their child.

Facilities include comfy chair, baby changing table, baby bath, play pen, highchair, fridge, sink, hot and cold water.

The Nursing Mothers and Parents' Room is located adjacent to the Student Common Room (Forbes Centre).


The Chapel is available for staff and student use. Liturgies are held weekly, and staff have the opportunity to become members of the Liturgy Committee and assist in the preparation of these liturgies. Staff also have the opportunity to play musical instruments or join the Campus Choir in many arranged activities throughout the University year.

Staff and students are invited to attend the Eucharist at Midday every Wednesday. Members of the campus will be advised of the times of other religious services.

Smoke free campus

ACU values the health and wellbeing of students and staff and is committed to providing a smoke free study environment. This means smoking is not permitted anywhere within ACU buildings, grounds, or controlled vehicles.

Couriers and deliveries

To book a courier please contact Service Central on (07) 3623 7272.

You will need to provide your department cost code when making the booking as the cost will be charged to your School or Department.

Mail: internal and external

  • Incoming mail is delivered across the campus throughout the day
  • Outgoing mail is collected by Australia Post at approx. 3:30pm daily
  • Schools/Departments are to provide their own Express Post envelopes and Registered Post envelopes. They can be left at the Facilities Management office for collection

The Facilities Management office 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday and is located in in Carn Brea Building 100.

Facilities provide a variety of services, including:

  • Mobile signage
  • Mail services including pickup and delivery service
  • General reception services
  • Visitor registry
  • General info such as on site first aiders or fire/emergency wardens
  • Room hire

Please contact Service Central on (07) 3623 7272 to discuss arrangements regarding mail items that need to be sent as 'Express Post', 'Couriered', 'Priority Paid', 'Certified', or 'Airmail'.

Lost Property

Any lost/found items to be handed to the Facilities Management Office or reported by calling Service Central on (07) 3623 7272 immediately.


An external cleaning company cleans the Ballarat Campus every weekday. The provided office paper recycling bins are emptied regularly by cleaning staff

Facilities Management is responsible for the security of property and buildings on the Ballarat Campus.

Security is on campus from 7:00am to 9:00pm (Mon-Fri); 12noon to 5:30pm (Sat-Sun).  The security guards can provide an escort service to the carpark when requested.  Contact security on 0447 258 217 

Keys and Security Codes

All key requests are to be entered via Service Central and must obtain approval.

Building access is via a coded card system and appropriately coded cards will be issued to staff.

Please notify Facilities Management immediately if a key or swipe card has been lost.

Stationery supplies

Stationery supplies are to be provided by individual departments and schools. There is no stationery available at Concierge.

Purchase orders

All goods and services must be ordered by means of the purchasing system. ACU uses Tech One as its Finance system; it supports the University's financial activities including electronic purchase orders. For details on Tech One, contact Finance Support from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Single copies or small quantity copying

Please use your workplace's photocopier when printing single copies or small quantity copying (up to 30 copies maximum). The photocopiers in your workplace are on the ACU IT network, and for this reason they are the responsibility of the IT Directorate.

Confidential Material

Facilities Management provides two confidential paper bins on campus. The bins are collected when full and the contents are shredded to ensure the information cannot be read. Confidential Bins are provided at the Facilities Management Office (100.G.CR2) and Building 104.G.05.
