ACU Induction Program

You can learn more about the support designed for new starters using the ACU Resources Guide

Ongoing conversations with your supervisor are crucial to supporting induction at a local level. These conversations help to clarify expectations of your role, discuss resources, preferred ways of working and your learning needs, and are an opportunity to give and receive feedback about your progress.  On commencement, your supervisor will organise a time to meet to discuss your new role and to answer any questions you have.

This introductory workshop will provide you with the knowledge and information to navigate ACU as a new staff member. You’ll find out all you need to know for your employment and be guided through the resources available to you. There will be an opportunity to connect with other new starters and have your questions answered.

You will receive a calendar invitation to this workshop.

E-Essentials is a range of online modules, covering topics that you need to know in order to be legally compliant.

You have six compulsory modules to complete:

1. Welcome to ACU
2. Work Health & Safety@ACU
3. Discrimination, Harassment and Bullying
4. Online Privacy Awareness
5. Critical Incident Management
6. Child Safe Organisations

These are available on the ‘My Learning’ homepage on the Professional Learning Hub.

It is recommended that you set aside time in your calendar to work through these modules at your own pace. You can save your progress and return to the modules at any stage.

These are designed to ensure you are equipped to work safely and comfortably and are well informed in your role at ACU.
