  • Manage ethics review process and ensure compliance with ethics and safety legislation.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts and agreements with research partners.  Support researchers to manage and store their research data. 
  • Maintain the highest standards in research integrity through the ACU Research Code of Conduct.
  • Manage breaches of the Code through a complaints and investigation process. Undertake research development workshops face-to-face and online with groups of researchers.
  • Identify opportunities for research funding.
  • Ensure eligibility and provide guidance regarding funding rules where possible. Manage relations with funding agencies.
  • Where appropriate, submit funding contracts and research agreement terms to the Office of General Counsel for review.
  • Manage pre- and post-award of grants and allocation of funding to internally funded projects.
  • Collect, collate and store Higher Education Research Data Collection audited data.
  • Analyse and audit publications data. Display data and analysis via web interfaces
  • Manage scholarship budget and reporting regimes to external agencies as appropriate.
  • Plan Research events
  • Produce Research marketing materials
  • Write about research developments for various publications and online
  • Develop media releases with Media
  • Sub-edit research outputs.
