  • Advise VC, SEG and relevant unit areas on interactions with government in pursuit of the University’s policy goals.
  • Coordinate and manage policy interactions with government, including through policy submissions, responses to inquiries, etc.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders, including federal and state ministers, local MPs, political staff and bureaucrats.
  • Maintain (and provide briefings to SEG/EPG on) a watching brief on political decision-making and legislative processes, including forward-looking assessments of likely future developments, including higher education funding arrangements.
