  • Have carriage of the development and implementation of the University's Global Strategy, including target setting, monitoring and provision of support to faculties and other areas engaged in international activities aligned with the Strategy.
  • Provide guidelines for strategy development as well as expertise in relation to international partnerships, student enrolments, program development, international student mobility, compliance and trans-national education, market research, analysis and development.  Support international program and grant applications including New Colombo Plan.
  • Identify, assess and manage international partners, including agreement development, communication and relationship management. Evaluation and review.
  • Provide internal communication and support services (advice) including executive support. Strategic planning of the global partner network.
  • Manage global networks and consortia ( International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU/FIUC), Association of Southeast and East Asian Catholic Colleges and Universities (ASEACCU), Strategic Alliance of Catholic Universities (SACRU).
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver international mobility programs to support the Rome Campus, the New Colombo Plan, curriculum internationalisation and global partnerships. Promotion, recruitment admission and student support.
  • Critical incident management and liaison with key external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement international marketing and recruitment strategies and initiatives.
  • Manage international regional recruitment campaigns to recruit full degree, ELICOS and pathway international students through multiple channels.
  • Participate in international recruitment events. Integrate social media and web campaigns into regional recruitment activities. Provide advice and support for new program development to meet market opportunities.
  • Manage international stakeholders including articulation partners, business partners, government stakeholders and scholarship agencies overseas.
  • Manage all elements of engagement with the University's network of education agents in the recruitment of international students.
  • Manage communication and information dissemination, contractual arrangements, training, invoicing and compliance with legislative requirements under the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act and National Code.

Manage and process:

  • Academic and visa eligibility
  • Program packaging (ELICOS and Pathways through to HDR)
  • Financial reconciliation
  • Assess student genuineness (Streamline Visa Processing) and financial capacity
  • Issue visa documentation (CoEs)
  • Health Insurance administration
  • Deliver international student advisory service - Education Services for International Students requirement. Orientation, initial enrolment programs.
  • Academic monitoring, visa compliance monitoring.
  • Social and wellbeing activities and international student retention strategies and activities
  • Education Services for Overseas Students, National Code, Tuition Protection Services, Department of Immigration compliance management and monitoring. Campus and course CRICOS registration, TEQSA registration - ELICOS programs

Manage and support Australia Award recipients and liaise with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade through the:

  • administration of introductory academic programs
  • admissions liaison
  • welfare and support liaison (internal and external support services)
  • financial reconciliation including payroll and financial reconciliation/audit.
