Communication and consultation is pivotal to the management of WHS risk at ACU. Campus WHS Committees support the University to facilitate important two-way conversations about WHS issues affecting the University and its WHS management system.

WHS Campus Committees for Ballarat, Blacktown, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, North Sydney and Strathfield Campuses are held 4 times a year in February, May, August and November each year. Staff and students are encouraged to liaise with their Health and Safety Representatives, Campus WHS Committee members, or Campus Dean to raise or communicate any WHS issues as they arise on Campus.

The Safety and Wellbeing unit provides committee support including agendas for each committee. If you would like to put an item on the agenda, please contact the Safety and Wellbeing team via Service Central. Previous meeting agendas are available on ACU SharePoint.

By communicating and consulting with one another around WHS issues and concerns at ACU, both staff and students can feel empowered operating in a safe and healthy environment.
