A Group is a collection of users in a LEO unit. Similarly, a Grouping is a collection of Groups within a LEO unit. You are able to restrict access to activities and resources in LEO to members of a Group, or members of Groups that exist inside a Grouping.

To create a Grouping in LEO:

  1. Navigate to your LEO unit, and from the Administration menu select Unit administration > Users > Groups.
  2. Click on the 'Groupings' tab:

  1. Click the 'Create grouping' button.
  2. On the next screen:
    • Give your grouping a name (required)
    • Enter a grouping description (optional)
    • Leave the 'Grouping ID' field blank
  3. Click the 'Save changes' button. You may then repeat these steps to create more groupings.

Once you have created your groupings, you may then add Groups to your Groupings.

screenshot of the 'edit' column in the groupings tabYou can edit the name or description of your Grouping by clicking on the 'cog' icon to the right of your grouping's name in the list of groupings (found under the 'Edit' column). You can delete your grouping by clicking on the delete (cross) icon. Note: Groups which are a part of your Grouping will not be deleted.

You can also view the number of activities which are linked to your grouping in the 'Activities' column.
