In 2009, ACU launched its staff engagement survey platform as a way for all staff to confidentially provide feedback and share their views on what it’s like to work at ACU.
Offered approximately every two years, the surveys provide valuable insight into the employee experience that helps the university to focus on the areas for improvement and celebrate the areas we are doing well. The results are used to inform strategies, programs and actions across the university.
ACU uses an external provider, XRef Engage (formerly myVoice) to conduct both the myVoice and more recently, Gender equality, diversity and inclusion (GEDI) staff experience surveys.
XRef Engage is an external consulting company with extensive experience in designing and administering staff engagement surveys across a range of industries.
The GEDI survey informs and monitors the progress of our GEDI framework and Gender Equality Action Plan (GEAP) and forms part of the requirements under the Victorian Gender Equality Act (2020).

All staff engagement surveys are issued to eligible staff via an email link sent from XRef Engage with the results independently analysed to ensure survey participant confidentiality.
Results reported back to ACU do not contain personal data and are aggregated into groups, so all responses are anonymous.
