The Faculty of Law and Business has made several improvements to increase the support available to staff to achieve their research goals.
Associate Dean of Research, Faculty of Law and Business, Professor Thomas Lange said the faculty had developed an action plan following the 2017 myVoice survey to address feedback from staff.
As a result, the faculty has introduced a range measures to better support staff research goals.
One way the faculty is supporting staff is by running Research Performance Review and Plan (RPRP) preparation and advice sessions.
“It’s pleasing to report that there has been a significant uplift in RPRP applications by academic staff,” Professor Lange said.
The faculty has also worked to provide more opportunities for staff to discuss research activities.
Discussions are taking place within school and faculty committee meetings, through research seminars, round table industry forums and round table discussions with leading, multi-disciplinary experts.
Professor Lange said building a culture of research mentorship had also been a focus across the Faculty of Law and Business.
“The faculty is pursuing a vibrant mentoring culture across its disciplines to support staff who wish to develop their research potential,” Professor Lange said.
