The Microsoft Authenticator App is the recommended authentication method for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) at ACU.
To download and install the application on an iPhone before registering for MFA:
1. Open the Apple App store on your iPhone.
2. Search for 'authenticator' in the search bar at the top of the application.
The Microsoft Authenticator app should be the second or third option. Look for the blue shield logo (
) to confirm the application.
3. Tap the 'Get' button next to the app title.
The application will begin to download.
4. When the app has finished downloading, tap the 'Open' button in the App.
A number of prompts will appear.
5. Skip all prompts (but accept the request to use your phone camera if requested).
Result:
The app is now ready to be used to register for Multi-Factor Authentication. Follow the instructions to enrol in Multi-Factor Authentication using the Microsoft Authenticator app.
