The Media Team helps to boost public awareness and shape public perceptions of ACU by driving and supporting the University’s media engagement and profile-raising efforts. We have communications leads aligned to each academic portfolio.

Key activities

  • Respond to media enquiries and coordinate interviews
  • Develop media releases, key messaging, talking points and statements
  • Proactively pitch stories that showcase our people, research and impact
  • Identify opportunities in the news cycle for expert commentary
  • Provide media training and briefing support
  • Build relationships with key journalists
  • Support crisis communication and issues management
  • Write stories for ACU News that are shared across the university's social channels
  • Produce the daily media digest
  • Monitor coverage and produce reports
