The Research Contracts team is responsible for processing the University's research agreements. Our team seeks to ensure that research agreements conform with relevant legislation, ACU policies and any funding requirements, safeguarding the interests of ACU and its researchers.

Our team assists ACU researchers by:

  • identifying whether an agreement is required
  • determining the most appropriate type of agreement
  • drafting and negotiating research contracts
  • liaising directly with the researcher to understand the nature of the research project and identifying specific contract issues
  • undertaking contract due diligence
  • leading a coordinated approach with other teams within the Office of Research Services to finalise research agreements
  • facilitating execution of research agreements
  • liaising with the ACU Office of General Counsel, where required.
