SCHEDULE 5 – PART A –EDUCATION PATHWAYS – SALARY RATES AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR TEACHERS

“Education Pathways” refers to the organisational unit so named at the time of the certification of this Agreement or replacement

organisational unit.

“Teacher” is an employee of the University who is employed in accordance with the salary and conditions of employment set out in this Schedule. A teacher will perform teaching and related duties as set out in this Schedule in the Education Pathways programs specified in this Schedule.

Definitions in clause 1.4 of this Agreement also apply within this Schedule unless stated otherwise.

1. This Schedule applies to teachers who perform teaching and related duties in the following programs offered by Education Pathways:

   1. Foundation studies program

   2. Tertiary preparation programs

   3. English language programs

   4. Other non-award programs approved by the University to be offered by Education Pathways.

2. This Schedule does not apply to employees employed within Education Pathways to perform teaching and related duties in an award program at diploma level or above. Such an employee will be employed as an academic employee as defined in clause 1.4 of this Agreement.

3. This Schedule operates to the exclusion of the Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award 2020 and any other award or agreement that would otherwise apply to employees whose employment is regulated by this Schedule.
