1. Identify the need
Confirm the need to recruit, considering workforce planning, budget and resourcing requirements. Your P&C Business Partner can provide advice and support.
2. Describe the role
Create or update the position description and confirm classification requirements.
3. Advertise the role
Raise a Request to Fill form in Staff Connect and determine your recruitment approach and selection committee.
4. Shortlist candidates
Review applications, assess suitability and progress candidates for interview.
5. Interview candidates
Conduct panel interviews and assess candidates against the role requirements, key selection criteria and ACU's Mission and values.
6. Select preferred candidate
Identify your preferred candidate(s), initiate reference checks and negotiate position particulars.
7. Pre-employment checks
Work rights, Gender-based Violence and Conflict of Interest Declarations conducted.
8. Contract approval
Submit approval to appoint and progress the offer through Staff Connect.
9. Offer & onboarding
Contract offered to candidate and progressing your new staff member to commence, with onboarding managed in partnership with the Appointments Team.
