At ACU, we welcome people from all nationalities, cultural and religious backgrounds and understand that a workforce reflective of the diversity of the community and the student population enhances the working and learning environment.

Discrimination, harassment and/or bullying based on an individual’s racial/cultural background or their religion is not tolerated.

Inter-cultural respect and understanding is encouraged through regular cross-cultural training workshops for all staff.

We welcome opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity at the University.

Harmony Day

Harmony Day is held on 21 March each year and it's a day for Australians to celebrate our cultural diversity.

The day is also the United Nation's International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

Events are held across the University to mark this occasion, including Taste of Harmony Week, involving the sharing of food from different cultures, and other awareness raising activities.
