ACU Provider Registration: ACU is a registered Higher Education Provider in the 'Australian University' category of the TEQSA ACT 2011. Under the ACT it is formally reregistered every 7 years but must continuously seek to maintain its status as a university of high quality and low risk. To ensure this, ACU employs a comprehensive approach that integrates quality assurance, compliance, and risk management activities.
Quality Assurance: ACU addresses risks to its quality management and continuous improvement through review and audit mechanisms. Internal Audit and Thematic and Functional Reviews are specifically managed through the Assurance Unit.
Compliance: ACU consistently monitors its compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021, ELICOS standards, National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018, and other associated legislations. This is achieved through both quantitative and qualitative mechanisms.
Risk Management: At ACU, our approach to risk seeks to support the achievement of our Mission. Identity and Values and Strategic Priorities. We aim to foster and encourage a risk-aware culture where effective risk management underpins good governance while also encouraging innovation and seizing opportunities.
