Our review identified that you were underpaid for one or more entitlements during the period assessed. If you have questions about your specific payment, contact entitlements@acu.edu.au.
In January 2024, ACU identified underpayments affecting some casual (sessional) academic staff and commenced remediation payments to current and former staff.
Later in 2024, ACU began a broader Wage Compliance Program. This is a comprehensive review of employee entitlements across the university, covering obligations under staff enterprise agreements and relevant legislation.
ACU continues to provide regular updates to the Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) as this work progresses.
Important: this page relates to the broader Wage Compliance Program (from 2026 onwards). If you were contacted prior to 2026, please refer to the ACU wage underpayments page.

The review is broad and includes:
Yes. All applicable superannuation contributions will be paid into your nominated fund.
Super is calculated at the current Super Guarantee rate (12% as at 1 July 2025), with interest applied to reflect the time value of the underpayment.
A remediation interest rate of 10% per annum has been applied to the affected superannuation contributions, in line with ACU’s approach to compensating staff for the time value of the underpayment.

No. ACU is legally required to make the payment to you.
If we cannot process the payment due to missing details, the amount will be transferred to the Office of the Fair Work Ombudsman (OFWO), who will then seek to contact you to arrange payment.
This payment addresses the issues identified to date.
