Professional staff are asked to follow the process below to prepare and submit your Progress Plan.

Step 1: Book time for a conversation

Your supervisor is responsible for arranging a meeting with you to discuss your Progress Plan. If you have not received a meeting invitation, contact your supervisor.

Step 2: Prepare

Before your meeting, take some time to reflect on the Progress Plan topics below and note anything you would like to discuss with your supervisor. You don't need to complete your Progress Plan before meeting with your supervisor, unless you would prefer to.

Progress Plan topics:

  • Achievements
  • Priorities
  • Development
  • Career Direction

Step 3: Have a conversation with your supervisor

Meet with your supervisor to talk about your Progress Plan. The Progress Plan topics should be the focus of your discussion.

Step 4: Record, review and submit

Finalise your responses (you can use the Professional Progress Plan Review Template to help with this) and share with your supervisor for review. After discussing with your supervisor, submit your Progress Plan via the online form for professional staff. Once you’ve submitted your form, the process is complete.
