About the Session
Team members care deeply about what happens in their performance appraisal. And yet quite often performance reviews are seen as time-consuming, demotivating, inaccurate, biased, and unfair. So making it fair, productive and motivational should be hugely important for people leaders.
To support career development, leaders need to master creating and delivering helpful and inspiring reviews.
This workshop helps participants recognise the importance of delivering quality performance reviews and provides a clear and focused framework for delivering great reviews. It is about equipping managers with the knowledge on all the essential steps and skills to appropriately prepare for, write and conduct a performance review in a way that turns it into a helpful, inspiring and trust-building experience.
Learning Outcomes:
- understand the importance of performance reviews: recognise the value of performance reviews in motivating team members and building trust
- prepare effectively for reviews: learn the essential steps for thorough preparation, including scheduling and gathering relevant information
- conduct fair and accurate reviews: ensure reviews are based on comprehensive and unbiased information
- deliver productive review conversations: master techniques for conducting effective review meetings and managing interactions
- create and implement development plans: formulate and follow smart goals to guide team members' growth and development
