Staff across the university have been recognised for their achievements at the 2024 Vice-Chancellor's Staff Excellence Awards.

These annual awards showcase and celebrate the accomplishments of ACU staff and publicly recognize and reward excellence in performance. They directly support ACU's mission and contribute to the goals of the university's 10-year strategic plan, Vision 2033.

Staff were this year honoured for their excellence across a range of award categories, with Professor Tim McKenry receiving the 2024 Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Excellence.

Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Excellence

Professor Tim McKenry has been awarded the 2024 Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Excellence for Governance Excellence as Chair of Academic Board.

As Chair of ACU's Academic Board, Professor McKenry has demonstrated exceptional visionary leadership in governance. Now serving his second term, he has led ACU's TEQSA renewal of registration and driven academic governance improvements across the university. His initiatives ensure ACU's governance is proactive, efficient and a benchmark for the sector.

Professor McKenry's commitment to strengthening institutional foundations ensures ACU has nimble and responsive governance that pre-empts risks, promotes collaborative problem solving, promotes best practice, and steadfastly upholds ACU's mission.
