Staff are invited to submit nominations across six award categories for achievements over the past three years.
Nominations for the 2023 Vice-Chancellor's Staff Excellence Awards open on 1 August and close on 15 September.
The 2023 awards will be celebrated at a ceremony in November, where the winner of the Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Excellence, selected from the category winners, will also be announced.
Category winners are awarded $500 for individuals or $2,500 for teams. The winner of the Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Excellence is awarded $5,000 for individuals or $10,000 for teams.
Award categories
Staff are invited to submit nominations across the following six categories:
Mission Excellence: This award recognises individuals and teams who have demonstrated excellence in living out the mission of ACU through areas of service, the pursuit of knowledge, the dignity of the human person and contributions to the common good.
Service Excellence: This award recognises outstanding service by individuals and teams.
Excellence in Community Engagement: This award recognises individuals or teams involved in significant university community engagement projects.
Excellence in Student Experience: This award recognises individuals and teams who have shown evidence of the highest level of service to students and outstanding achievement in the support of the student experience.
Excellence in Research and Research Partnership: This award recognises the important role that academic staff, individuals and teams, play in developing and managing research partnerships, and the significant benefits that these collaborations bring to the university.
Spirit of Reconciliation: This award recognises the contributions of individuals and teams at ACU who strive to achieve culturally appropriate programs and activities for the betterment of our students and staff and commitment towards meeting the university’s Indigenous targets.
