The following Academic Progress letter templates have been developed in conjunction with the new, more lenient 2025 Academic Regulations.

The 2024 templates are still available under the ‘Archived Templates’ folder if required for use. They should only be used for students who receive fails for 2024 units.

Important Note

When sending academic progress related letters, please ensure Academic.Progress@acu.edu.au is CC’d in the email. This includes the following letters:

  • Shown Sufficient Cause
  • Acknowledgement of Appeals
  • Outcome Appeals
  • Rescindment Letters

Rescinded Letter Templates

*PLEASE NOTE - Rescinded letters should only be used if the student no longer meets the criteria for the trigger or Academic Regulation that initiated the original At Risk, Unsatisfactory or Termination letter.

At Risk Rescinded Letter Template (Word, 50KB)

This template is used to advise a student that their At Risk letter has been rescinded, as they no longer meet the criteria.

Unsatisfactory Rescinded Letter Template (Word, 50KB)

This template is used to advise a student that their Unsatisfactory Progress has been rescinded, as they no longer meet the criteria.

Termination Rescinded Letter Template (Word, 50KB)

This template is used to advise a student that their termination of enrolment has been rescinded, as they no longer meet the grounds for termination.
