This week as a University community, we remember and pray for all those who have lost their lives in Paris, but also in Baghdad, Beirut and beyond as a result of the recent and ongoing acts of war, violence and terror. We pray in solidarity for our world, for peace, for understanding, and for hope.
ACU Campus Ministry invites all staff to spend some time in our campus chapels, and to take up the opportunity to light a candle for peace in our world, "for darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that…” (Martin Luther King, Jr).
Masses to pray for peace will also be offered in all ACU Chapels this coming Wednesday (and on Thursday in Brisbane).
Mass times on your campus can be found here.

A prayer for peace
Compassionate God,
we remember and pray for those who have lost their lives
through the recent and ongoing acts of war and violence across our world.
In your mercy and your tenderness,
welcome them into your Heavenly Kingdom.
We also uphold the families and those whose lives
have been devastated by tragedy and loss of life.
Hold them close to your heart and assure them of your loving presence.
For ourselves, we ask for the courage
to live in the hope of the resurrection and
to recognise your healing presence in our lives.
Amen
