Welcome to Viva Engage - ACU's new staff engagement platform.
Viva Engage is designed to support your workday through a simple and integrated experience, where you control what you see and when.
It's easy to access Viva Engage via the button on the rail on the left of Microsoft Teams.
You'll be able to view content, post and comment in Viva Engage all from within Teams.
The Viva Engage default is to notify you about everything, but you can easily change this. You can set your notifications to either receive a daily digest, a weekly digest or no notifications at all. Please follow these instructions to change your notification settings.
Please note that Viva Engage email notifications will be from notifications@yammer.com. Yammer is Viva Engage's previous name.
Viva Engage is centered on communities (known as groups on Workplace). We've introduced a simplified community structure on Viva Engage to make it easier for you to reach the right audience.
You will automatically be added to relevant communities based on your role and location:
Several opt-in special interest groups that existed on Workplace have also been recreated on Viva Engage and all existing members added. You can view the full list of Viva Engage communities here.
You now have access to share news with all staff via the new All-staff community. This community replaces several all-staff groups on Workplace, including Staff News, Staff Movements, Leadership updates and Office of the Vice-Chancellor and President.
Posts may include:
Don't worry if you choose the wrong community. The Internal Communications team will be closely monitoring this community, and posts that are not relevant to all staff will be moved to a more suitable one.
There are a range of ways you can learn more about Viva Engage:
Workplace is now in read-only mode, which means you can view existing content on Workplace, but won't be able to post anything new. Our Workplace platform will be deleted on 1 June 2026. Please ensure you have saved any important information from Workplace before this date and stored it appropriately, in line with the Records Retention and Disposal Schedule.
Say goodbye to Workplace and hello to Viva Engage. Learn about our new community structure and all-staff community.
Please be aware of the following changes to payroll processing dates.
