Researchers from across ACU will converge on the Melbourne Campus in December to share compelling stories of health research success.
The ACU Health Research Symposium on Thursday December 1 will bring together research leaders, young researchers and research students who will present results of their studies. This will include programs supported through internal funding such as the ACU Research Funding (ACURF) schemes and the Collaborative Research Networks Program.
The one day program features stories of some of the high quality research being conducted across the Faculty of Health Sciences and our health research institutes, within the themes of Nursing and Community Health Care, Psychological and Mental Health and Wellbeing and Exercise, Nutrition and Sport.
The symposium will feature presentations from the Mary Mackillop Institute for Health Research (MMIHR) and its centres, the Nursing Research Institute, the School of Psychology and the Institute of Positive Psychology and Education (IPPE).
Some of the key speakers include, Prof Simon Stewart (Director of MMIHR) Prof David Castle (Chair of Psychiatry at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and The University of Melbourne), Prof Sandy Middleton (Nursing Research Institute), Assoc. Prof Chris Lonsdale (IPPE), lead researchers in the School of Psychology and talented young researchers from the Centres of Exercise and Nutrition and Musculoskeletal Research.
This is your opportunity to learn about the work being conducted in areas of health research strength that have contributed to ACU’s recent ERA success, listen to and engage with researchers who have won ACURF and external funding and meet some of our key collaborators from partner organisations at our networking breaks during the day.
