Research Awards for Women Academic Staff now open

As part of ACU’s ongoing commitment to gender equality, the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) is offering up to three Research Awards for Women Academic Staff in 2016, each worth $12,500.

This award aims to assist women researchers to re-establish their research profile after a career interruption due to family responsibilities.

To be eligible you will have returned to work on a full-time or part-time basis following a period of approved leave in association with the birth of an infant or adoption of an under school-aged child in the last two years.

Applications for the research awards will close on 7 November.

The outcome of the application process will be announced by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) by the end of December.

To apply:

  1. Access the Policy for the Research Awards for Women Academic Staff, the Application Form, and the Procedure document here
  2. Complete the application form, including the required supporting documentation
  3. Have your application form signed by the relevant delegated officers
  4. Send your completed application and supporting documentation to the Human Resources Equal Opportunity email address: by 5pm on the 7 November.
