A message from the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Greg Craven: Make sure you submit your nominations for the Vice-Chancellor’s Staff Excellence Awards before the 3 April closing date.
The annual Vice-Chancellor’s Staff Excellence Awards recognise and celebrate the important work ACU staff members are doing across the University every day.
Later this year I will award up to two staff commendations in the categories of Mission Excellence, Service Excellence, Innovation Excellence, Excellence in Student Experience and Research Excellence.
From these award winners, one staff member will also be awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Medal for Excellence at the presentation ceremony in August.
As we approach the deadline for nominations, please take some time to nominate staff members who model our values and work culture, who are progressing ACU’s strategic targets and who are living the ACU Mission.
People like the 2016 Vice-Chancellor’s medal of excellence winner Dr Rhonda Faragher, who was recognised for her contribution to Mission Excellence through her life-changing work for people with Down Syndrome, both in Australia and internationally.
Or, our other 2016 award winners, including the Away from the Base Midwifery Team, the AskACU Project Team, the Service Matters Improvement Team, the Research Systems and Reporting Team, Leticia Medwell, Michael Dorman and Professor Neil Omerod.
Take a look at the 2016 awards highlight video to hear from some of these inspiring individuals and teams, whose achievements are well worth recognising and celebrating as a University community.
It is staff members such as these who help to make ACU the University that it is.I encourage you to consider nominating yourself or your colleagues for a 2017 Vice-Chancellor’s Staff Excellence Award.
I look forward to receiving your nominations and celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of our staff.
Please submit your nominations by 3 April to:

Director, Office of the Vice-Chancellor
